Speaking in the International Confenece of Export Promotion via Caspian Sea, he pointed to the high capabilities of ports in the country and said, “development of ports indicates economic capabilities and potentials of a country.”
Providing solution for challenges available ahead of export promotion of domestically-produced products from northern ports of the country to the Caspian Sea littoral states has been cited as the most important objective of this prestigious Conference, he maintained.
Reviewing the key role of ports and their quality in promoting export, salient role of laws related to the special economic zones for the development of activities of traders and merchants as well as making investment in northern ports of the country are of the other salient topics of this Conference, he maintained.
Diverisyt of goods in northern ports of the country should be increased using export and transit, he said, adding, “for this purpose, transiting products from northern ports of the country especially from Amirabad Port will be taken into serious consideration.”
He went on to say that Caspian Sea littoral states have shown deep interest for high-quality Iranian products, he said, adding, “in this regard, 225,000 tons of products have been exported from northern ports of the country in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-June 21).”
With the coordination made in this regard, RO-RO dock of Amirabad Port will be commissioned before the termination of the current Iranian calendar year (to end March 20, 2019), based on which, inauguration of the dock will increase export of agricultural products from Mazandaran Province to the Caspian Sea littoral states.”
